Haiku For An Old Friend

Isn't it wonderful how recalling one memory leads to the uncovering of another?

This is an ode to my old companion.

Dear old Soft Pillow...
Saliva spots here and there
My bantal busuk.

Lumpy cotton bits,
yellow polka-dot baju.
So soft and smelly.

Covering my neck
to keep pon-tia-naks at bay -
Better than garlic!

One day you were gone...
deemed too geli by mummy.
Bye-bye Soft Pillow.

kiahkiahkiahkiahkiah... you are mad.

BUT i can identify with the bantal busuk syndrome.. mine was many a time attempted to be replaced by a HARD UNFLOPPY CLEAN SMELLESS one-single-piece-of-foam pillow. cis! where got same. bb would be hidden away, purportedly "thrown", and many sleepless nights would ensue until yay! daddy gave in to my dark-ringed eyes and retrieved it from mum's hiding place..

i felt most brave when sometime in standard 5, i sacrificed bb myself..

I don't have a BB [bantal busuk] rather I have a BB [bunny buruk]. It's been with me ages too but I feel for it the same way you feel for your BB :)
