I hate waiting.
Three things that are keeping my feet tapping today...
1. Waiting for a little lamb to be born. Hurry up and get out of that womb, young lady, am dying to see what a giraffe you'll be. I've even made up a song for you too.
2. Waiting for the next month to pass by safely. Am sending you thoughts every day.
3. Waiting for 5.45 pm so that I can get out of the office and zoom off to Singapore for the Sale!
Sigh.
Whilst waiting for No. 3....
Recently, a friend told me this:
"I am missing the attention of a guy, any guy, lately, that I've become selfish"
Today, I read She Tries and What I Would Give here.
My brain isn't working today and I can't find the words to express that I hear what these two people are saying, so I'll borrow these from Richard Carpenter.
I Need To Be In Love
The hardest thing I’ve ever done
is keep believing
there’s someone in this crazy world for me
The way that people come and go
through temporary lives
My chance could come and I might never know
I used to say no promises, let’s keep it simple
But freedom only helps you say goodbye
It took a while for me to learn
that nothin’ comes for free
The price I’ve paid is high enough for me
I know I need to be in love
I know I’ve wasted too much time
I know I ask perfection of a quite imperfect world
And fool enough to think that’s what I’ll find
So here I am with pockets full of good intentions
But none of them will comfort me tonight
I’m wide awake at four a.m.
Without a friend in sight
Hanging on a hope, but I’m alright
Loneliness and solitude are mirror images of each other. The same condition, but viewed from a different perspective. One consumes, the other quietly reflects.

That line itself makes it hard to believe that you're actually straight. A straight man that enjoys shopping, imagine that!
hiakhiakhiak...
goes to show that assumptions, either way, are never safe, so just enjoy the words from a fellow human being. ;)
anyways, i know lots of straight men and gay women who love shopping. :)
i'm still reeling from my brother's purchase of a manbag. eeek.
