Billet Doux

"'Cause I love you..
Whether it's wrong or right
And though I can't be with you tonight
You know my heart is by your side"

There ya go, love.

---

Isn't it stupidly ridiculous that a grown 30 something-year-old is still too chicken to sleep alone WITHOUT A LIGHT ON??? Don't write in...it's rhetorical.

---

One of the nicer things about being in a relationship is getting a sleepkiss (in the manner of sleepwalk) planted on your back, despite you only having arms for your bolster.

hey! just realised that that makes it seem as if i am the one who cannot sleep without a light on...!!

Then I should have said that I am the one who's, given my achey bones, turning into a boneless chicken, literally.

The pig and the cow talking about who's the chicken.

Right.

I miss my lam cham :(

Hee. Jay, I just bought a new lam cham too. Can't believe I've survived for more than 1 year in penang without one. Just went ahead and bought one the other day ;)

have not been sleeping with a bolster for years! that's coz i have 2 pillows, one piggie and one doggie to sleep with. oh, but nothing can beat being someone's 'bolster', tho'... *sigh...

I have 2 blankets.
One to keep me warm.
The other is a make-shift lam-cham (and I've had it for ages!)

i have a comforter, a big pillow, a medium pillow, a baby pillow (bantal busuk) and a bolster... all balanced precariously on my single bed.. heh.

i wonder what happened to my lam cham at home. now i'm good with a pillow to cuddle even though i've grown up cuddling a lam cham. yeah...it's nice being someone's lam cham too... *sigh*

what's a lam cham?

eightyone - Welcome! Lam cham is Cantonese for "hug pillow", literally. Just another word for bolster/dutch pillow.

I have two normal-sized pillows, one for head, one for the back of knees or general hugging. Then there's the bolster for hardcore hugging. Sometimes, that's not enough and the doona/comforter gets bunched up into another hug recipient.

Finally, in desperate times, I hang off the edge of the bed and hug the mattress.

Anything...but the person lying next to me!

I formally protest against this post. It's obviously an attempt to make us single feel like our lives are cold and empty.

And it's working!! I wanna human lam cham and get sleepykisses too! Wah!

P/S I still carry a bantal busuk around wherever I nightstop. Shh...donch tell anyone.
