And Another Thing..

Since she's unlikely to be going online btwn now and this Sunday when we will be here... --->

View of Vernazza in Cinque Terre, Liguria, Italy.

I'll let you all in on a surprise I've planned for our favourite little pink pig.

Aquamarine & baby diamonds.

It'd be too akward for her to explain why she's come back from Italy wearing a solitaire diamond otherwise, kan?

I couldn't get the macro setting to focus properly...was in a rush; making sure she'd be too busy to see what I was up to while she was packing.

So.

March Birthstone: Aquamarine
Birthstone Properties: Bestows courage, insight, and victory
---
A Gift of Love
To wear aquamarine brings love and affection. To give aquamarine is to offer the gift of knowledge, foresight and individual inspiration. It is a universal symbol of youth, fidelity, hope and health.

so interesting.. so snowie is born in march?

So wonderful!
Spowie 4ever is so cute!
(but Snot IS really funny, Mint! Hahahaha)

Hey Spot! I swear I saw Fresian spotted pigs in Cambodia. But it was kinda black on grey, not black on white. Still close anyway ;)

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. We only managed to go online once, hence snowie's comment.

The deed took place at the end of the jetty thing in the picture in this post.

I chose an aquamarine because the blue of the stone was to remind her of the colour of the Mediterranean location(actually hah, I thought the Med is nowhere near Italy? So howcum ppl always tie the two together??).

Aquamarines are also associated with the sign of Pisces (being a March sign, but I'm a Feb piscean).

I also liked the symbolism of fidelity and commitment.

And Snowie likes blue. :)

Spotted pigs like not very cute leh. Must experiment with animal husbandry techniques (good one Jay!).

oo... i didnt realise it was to remind me of the med...lucky you mentioned it here then, hor!

and since you asked, did a little wiki and here it is: 'The Mediterranean Sea is a part of the Atlantic Ocean almost completely enclosed by land, on the north by Europe, on the south by Africa, and on the east by Asia.... Special crops of the region are olives, grapes, oranges, tangerines, and cork....[what about lemons??!!] Modern states bordering the Mediterranean Sea are:...Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey...[stacks more]... The Mediterranean Sea is sub-divided into a number of smaller seas, each with their own designation... (including) the Ligurian Sea between Corsica and Liguria (Italy)'.

so see, vernazza is very legitimately mediterranean! :B

love the ring, btw! :*
