My Top 10 Life's Simplest Pleasures

Cop-out. My will to write has been overwhelmed by the burdens of guilt (#$%@ tax) and unruly hair.

Meme to the rescue.

I've decided to list solitary activities because I think to even have THE ONE to do stuff with isn't a simple occurence at all. Simple pleasures are those where you don't need a tonne of money or super good fortune on your side.

So here we go...

Top 10 Life’s Simplest Pleasures

1. Singing, shoulder-shrugging ala Beyonce and crazy-pointing-in-an-arc (this nifty move is disguised by pretending to be turning the steering wheel with one hand) along with my MP3s whilst driving alone. Makes a pretty awesome sight.

2. Laughing at oneself. Very necessary to find pleasure in this, given no. 1 above.

3. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Rolled with crushed potato crisps.

4. Uninterrupted daydreaming.

5. Inhaling coffee fumes.

6. Making horns, beards, wigs, hats or mountains out of bath bubbles.

7. Lazing about in bed all day with stacks of gossipy magazines, comics, snacks and remote controls for the tv, Astro, fan and aircon within handy reach.

8. When a line from a book/movie/lyric plants a kiss in my heart/brain and leaves me speechless.

9. Hugging a bolster pillow whilst burrowing into the bed.

10. A good barbeque where there are insane amounts of fresh meat and nothing’s been bought in ready-to-eat packets.

My list of ten would probably have your number 4. Only I would call it navel gazing, and pretend that it's actually an intellectual exercise.

12. A walk on the beach in the setting sun with the cool breeze brushing your cheeks and stroking your hair.

I experienced #10 just last Saturday :) Yummy, meat, lots of meat marinated with home-made sauces & lots of salad & other stuff...mamma mia! *smack* (licking lips)

Just incase you ever wanna have a barbeque and not sure who to invite, let me tell you that I can make 4 distinct & delicious barbeque marinades for chicken & 2 for other meats (mutton included).

I'd whore myself for a good barbeque!

Shit I gotta stop reading all these top ten lists. I find myself stealing one or two from each of them!
